Psychedelic Porn Crumpets headline the Casbah Thursday.

Here's something we know and can state as fact: If a band from Australia comes to the U.S. for a tour, they have to be good. I mean, they have to have risen to top in their own country to just be able to afford and take the chance of coming here. So when I tell you that you should definitely make an effort to see Psychedelic Porn Crumpets tonight at the Casbah, you don't get to cry in a year or two when they're selling out a venue like the Observatory North Park or bigger, whining that you missed your chance to see them. Like Tame Impala and Pond before them, these trippy rockers have a lot going on and with the Freak Out DJs spinning between bands, the whole night should be mind-expanding. Around town, South African male choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo play a seated show at the Belly Up, Soda Bar keeps it local with Downers, Latifahtron gets funky at Bar Pink, and legend Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band dip into Funner, California with a show at Harrah's SoCal Resort.
