Sounds Like San Diego: March 1

Men I Trust, Junior Brown, Lettuce, the Wood Brothers and more headline SD's Friday live-music options

As a San Diego native, I realize it is nearly treasonous to compare San Diego to Los Angeles, but when it comes to shows and concerts, we've definitely stepped up our game, not only in drawing more and more amazing acts, but we're actually selling out more shows in advance than ever before. Gone are the days when you could make last-minute decisions about where to go and what to do, because we're actually becoming a place where you have to forecast your own time days, weeks, or in some cases, even months in advance. So yes, Junior Brown, Men I Trust, and the Wood Brothers are all sold out tonight. Sucks for you if you didn't plan ahead. Fortunately, you can still have an awesome night with the funk of Lettuce at the Observatory North Park, a night of classical and jazz fusion with Peter Sprague at La Jolla Athenaeum, or hang out with the retro sound of the Amandas at Whistle Stop.
