I love, love, love when Iceage comes back to San Diego year after year, though I think their last time around was at House of Blues, which doesn't quite offer that face-to-face experience possible at the Casbah, where they return tonight. It feels like their shows should come with a similar warning to a Sea World show because you just might be in the splash zone -- the splash being a mix of sweat, spit, and other people's beers. It's always a rager, so get your tickets before this one sells out. Meanwhile at Soda Bar, European rockabilly act the Hillbilly Moon Explosion bring their unique twist on the genre with the unique growl of Welsh singer Mark 'Sparky' Phillips contrasted with Emanuela Hutter; the band is making a stop on their way to Viva Las Vegas rockabilly festival. The Belly Up welcomes the Primaveras, Dethsurf and Alvino & the Dwells keep things swinging at Bar Pink's Tiki Tuesday, and Dermot Kennedy plays a sold-out show at the Observatory North Park.
