Sounds Like San Diego: Dec. 27

Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Sol Orchid, Hail Hail and more top Thursday's live-music action

It's gonna be a little quiet right after the holiday, but things should pick up this weekend and then, of course, New Year's Eve is going to be crazy as we ring in 2019 -- but you still have some solid options if you're itching to get out. At the Belly Up, Karl Denson celebrates his birthday in style, with his full band and Z-Trip scratching vinyl to kick off the mood. Casbah hosts a local night with Hail Hail, you can Loosen the Noose at Bar Pink, or catch Sol Orchid at Soda Bar. Plus, there are plenty of options for dancing and karaoke and open mics, too, so you should be able to find something fun to tide you over through the weekend.
