If you've been anywhere near downtown this weekend, you certainly have to had bumped into Twitchers in your adventures. TwitchCon is in town and to be honest, I've never felt so outside of a pop-culture phenomenon in my adult life. So, you watch people livestream while they play video games? You engage with people as they do their daily grooming regiments? I am clearly in the wrong biz. But, what I do know is they know how to throw a party, and I've never been asked by so many people if I have a hook up to their big concert tonight at Petco Park in the Park with Lil Nas X, Blink-182 and others. (I don't.) Still, it will be massive, and if you miss it, you can probably Twitch it. Meanwhile, the Casbah will be crazy with Drug Hunt, Wild Wild Wets and others from our esteemed scene, Crssd fest is sold out with Hot Chip headlining and Charli XCX has moved from the songwriter behind the pop scenes to a pop star in her own right. For something out of the ordinary, the Merrow has a rare Saturday night show with our buddy Scott H Biram and the Goddamn Gallows.
