Sounds Like San Diego: June 30

On Sunday night, he's at Copley for the last U.S. stop of his Gold in a Brass Age tour

It's been 21 years since David Gray's "White Ladder" was released. It was actually his fourth studio album, but it was a career changer and definitely impacted Triple A radio, the singer-songwriter circuit and is still one of my favorite records to listen to front to back. I've also had the amazing fortune of seeing Gray all over the place over the years, from big venues like the Events Center at Harrah's Resort to tiny spots like Studio West and Tipsy Crow for special intimate radio shows. Tonight, he's at Symphony Hall for the last U.S. night of his Gold in a Brass Age tour, and I'm bringing Kleenex because I can already tell some of those old faves are gonna hit me right in the feels. Around town, Javier Escovedo plays Casbah, Soda Bar has Tubulars and Los Tigres Del Norte play the final weekend of the San Diego County Fair.
