Sounds Like San Diego: March 6

G. Love & Special Sauce's show at the Belly Up tops tonight's live-music options

This city is hopping tonight. For me, Joe Jackson was a little before my time so while I maybe never sought out his music, his sound is so unique and indentifiable and a longtime staple in "college radio" and on alternative stations. Tonight, the legend hits Balboa Theatre. Meanwhile, up north at the Belly Up, G. Love is back with his Special Sauce and his Philly style that makes the ladies swoon. Naked Giants play the Casbah, Tyler Carter plays the Voodoo Room, Nightly are at Soda Bar, and my BFF Ben Bridwell plays a rare San Diego show with Band of Horses at the Observatory North Park, just don't take any pictures. He really doesn't like that.
