It was a shock to the punk world when Steve Soto, bassist and founding member of Adolescents, suddenly passed last summer. His joy and light on stage defied his size and aggressive music, and he always seemed to be the guy having the best time in the room. The band consistently played the Casbah year after year, and tonight they return to celebrate Casbah's 30th anniversary month with heavy hearts and Soto on everyone's minds. Around town, Mae play a sold out show at the Irenic, young Brit Nao plays the Observatory and Bar Pink hosts an early show with Scratch Acoustic Soul Trio.
