San Diego

Why No Love for SD, Nine Inch Nails?

Nine Inch Nails left San Diego out of their newly expanded Cold and Black and Infinite North America tour

Hear that pounding, pulsing industrial rock? Probably not, because Nine Inch Nails decided to skip San Diego on their newly expanded Cold and Black and Infinite North America tour. Instead, they're playing six nights -- four of which are already sold out -- at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles in mid-December.

But before you come down with a case of major, major FOMO, it might be worth considering making the two-hour drive or three and a half hour train ride north to see Trent Reznor up close and personal.

Plus, Scottish noise rockers the Jesus and Mary Chain will be supporting Reznor and company, and a revolving cast of artists including Tobacco, Kite Base, Daniel Avery, Gabe Gurnsey (Factory Floor), Death in Vegas, Hmltd and Soft Moon will be opening up.

Still, it would be nice if San Diegans didn't have to spend a gas tank or more to witness the industrial spectacle -- especially considering the fact that it's been some four years since we've had the pleasure (you know, back when Chula Vista's snoozy-themed amphitheater went by Sleep Train instead of Mattress Firm).

So, why are you sleeping on San Diego this time around, Nine Inch Nails?

Nine Inch Nails headline the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Dec. 7-8, Dec. 11-12 and Dec. 14-15. You can get tickets here for the Dec. 14 show or here for the Dec. 15 show starting on Friday, June 15, at 10 a.m.
