Bigger, Better Viejas Concerts in the Park

The concert series returns with a bigger venue and bigger names

On Monday, July 3, the Viejas Concerts in the Park is back after a seven year absence with a bigger, more accommodating venue and a killer lineup.

Tickets are on sale now and include performances ranging from prime-time comedians, chart-topping country singers and classic rock legends. With household names like George Thorogood, Reel Big Fish, Jim Gaffigan and Martina McBride opening the summer series, this year’s event promises to be better than ever.

The Alpine casino’s new 52,000 square-foot outdoor venue at the Park at Viejas Casino & Resort is considerably larger than the previous venue, and it now features a bar that allows you to enjoy the concert without missing a beat.

Speaking of built-in bars, Alpine is a long trek from the city. If you're over 18 years old with a valid ID, Viejas offers a free shuttle service that picks up from El Cajon, Mira Mesa, Kearny Mesa, Rancho Penasquitos, National City, downtown San Diego and Old Town. Although, in order to return to these locations, you need a V Club Card and a valid ID.
