You may have seen him as Sokka the Last Airbender, or as Jasper Hale in the Twilight saga, but did you know actor Jackson Rathbone also plays in a band called 100 Monkeys?
The group, comprised of Rathbone, Ben Graupner, Lawrence Abrams, Jerad Anderson and Ben Johnson, will be playing a free show in San Diego on July 23 at the House of Blues.
The music of 100 Monkeys can be described as a fusion of rock, jazz, blues, funk and country. Despite the band's name, these guys have definitely spent no time monkeying around. They were featured in Rolling Stone as one of Bamboozle 2010's five breakout bands to watch and are releasing a live CD along with a score for the indie movie Girlfriend.
Can’t catch the guys on July 23? Don’t worry, the group has a summer and fall tour in the works, with plenty of West Coast shows, including stops in Hermosa Beach, Phoenix, Las Vegas and San Francisco.
