Stevie and the Hi-Stax are throwing a party to celebrating dropping a new EP.
The group fronted by Stevie Harris of the Styletones fame plays a blues-funk fusion. They're celebrating the release of their new EP at Bar Pink on April 4. And that's not the only thing to celebrate: On Sunday, Tim Pyles of FM9/49 will be featuring five of the EP's songs during A Pyles Session at 8 p.m.
Guests at Bar Pink will get treated to a sample of the Hi-Stax's sound as its many members (seven, to be exact) fill the venue. The event falls during their weekly Bar Pink Make Believe Monday with Stevie and the Hi-Stax series, but this Monday, Stevie and the gang won't be alone: Instead, you can expect Tori Roze and the Hot Mess to live up to their name when they get the party started.
