Actor Gary Sinise and the Lieutenant Dan Band are making a tour stop in Oceanside Sunday for a private concert at the Camp Pendleton base theater.
The band, named after the character Sinise portrayed in the hit movie Forrest Gump, was founded in 2003. Sinise loved the musical performances so much he asked if he could add the band to the USO Tour. The Lieutenant Dan Band officially debuted overseas with concerts for military service members in Korea, Singapore and Diego Garcia.
Sunday’s show at Pendleton is scheduled to begin at 4p.m. Families will also be able to participate in such Halloween-themed activities as costume and pumpkin-carving contests.
