Sounds Like San Diego: September 8

I hate telling you that the most amazing show of the night if already sold out, but tonight the Heavy return to the Casbah, and it is surely going to be an amazing dance party as well as a complete hot box. The first time the Heavy played the Casbah, there was a modest crowd of less than 50 people, and a friend of mine jabbed me by saying that this band would impregnate me just by the look in their eyes. Just a few years later and this show is sold out, but certainly it will be just as intense and crowd-focused. The Silent Comedy are supporting the band throughout this tour, but don't think that they've ignored us -- the Brothers Grimm, who are opening, are made up of Joshua and Jeremiah Zimmerman of the Silent Comedy. As the Brothers Grimm, they peel back the layers, and Saturday is going to be an amazing night of music.

If you didn't already get tickets to the Casbah, there's an amazing lineup at the Ruby Room, a cool show with Missy Higgins at the Belly Up, and Weatherbox is at the Che Cafe. Plenty of options to have you covered as we acknowledge that -- oh, my gosh! -- is it really already September?
