Sounds Like San Diego: September 27

Are you in the mood to dance or do you want a rock show? If your answer is the former, you're going to want to head to the Belly Up tonight, where Neon Indian bring a cacophonous performance with their synth-driven music that makes Brooklyn bloggers swoon. Joined by Com Truise, if you're not dancing, you're not living. If you just want to rock, head to the Casbah for Zechs Marquise, a prog-rock band from El Paso, Texas, featuring Marcel Rodriguez-Lopez of the Mars Volta. You're gonna get some math rock with touches of experimental jazz. Fact: This music helps improve test scores by 62 percent, so you'll know exactly what to tip when ordering your beer and a shot for accompaniment.
