When the Beauty Bar opened in San Diego, it was a new and fresh option for hipsters and rockers to mix and mingle. Over the years, they've hosted a slew of amazing bands. Sarah Knook has been managing the spot for a couple years now and is ready to move on. The bar has been sold and will become the Til Two Club with the new owners, but before that happens, tonight is your chance to come shake your booty and enjoy one last hurrah at the club. I'm one of many hosts for the evening and you'll get to see some of your favorite DJs who have spun there over the years. I have a lot of great memories at the Beauty Bar...seeing The Cloud Room or The Bronx still stand out as some of my favorite shows, No Bra certainly had my jaw dropped to the floor, and dancing with members of Nada Surf after they played the House of Blues made me believe that Matthew Caws and I are BFFs.
There are plenty of other things going on, in fact more than your usual Sunday, so whether it's The Pixies at UCSD, a free ska show at the Casbah, TV Buddhas from Israel at Bar Pink, or a "Next Big Thing" show at the 710 Beach Club, you'll want to drink plenty of coffee to make it a late night.
