Sounds Like San Diego: September 23

Ash bring their modern classic "1977" to life at Soda Bar on Friday

The weekend is here and if you thought you were gonna lay low and just couch the whole time, think again. This is perhaps the busiest weekend of the year, with music for everyone. For starters, Icelandic indie-rockers Sigur Ros are playing at Symphony Hall and their last show was a spectacle of lights, music, and confetti. Meanwhile, Soda Bar hosts Irish alt-rockers Ash, who are currently celerating the 20 year anniversary of their debut record, "1977." At the Irenic, you can hear the garage rock of Chicago's Twin Peaks, or catch punk icon Alice Bag and her band at the Casbah. Soft rockers Air Supply return to Humphreys, Atmosphere plays a sold-out show at the Observatory, and music legend Peter Case performs at the Whistle Stop. Are you kidding me?! Rethink that whole staying in thing and catch some amazing music. You can thank me later.
