Sounds Like San Diego: September 14

James Supercave co-headlines the Casbah Thursday with the Seshen

There are some downfalls of the 'gig' economy, but one of the benefits is how many people are available to keep the nightlife of San Diego going every night of the week. If you're one of the lucky ones, you will definitely want to start this weekend early. At the Casbah, catch James Supercave, described by Noisey as music that "rests on the precipice between genres, embracing a brand of psych pop that revels in the abstract." Meanwhile, Boomers and Gen-Xers will "be back in the high life again" as Steve Winwood plays to a sold-out crowd at Humphreys, Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers play Music Box, and Peter Case of the Plimsouls plays at Grassroots Oasis. Other notables include together PANGEA at the Irenic, Greensky Bluegrass at the Observatory, and Bar Pink and the Merrow both host fundraisers for Hurricane Harvey victims (read the SoundDiego article about 'em here).
