Sounds Like San Diego: Sept. 10

Wednesday has so much awesome packed into one night, it's kind of hard to believe it isn't even San Diego Music Thing weekend yet. At the Casbah, legendary rocker Mike Watt brings his project Il Sogno del Marinaio to town, with the locals of Shady Francos and Noel Jordan kicking things off. As you may have seen on SoundDiego TV, the Hot Snakes perform an all-ages show at the Irenic. With Ghetto Blaster and Big Bad Buffalo opening, this is going to be quite a show, and, last I heard, there weren't many tickets left, so buy them online while you can because there probably won't be any at the venue by the time doors open. Meanwhile, just down the street from the Irenic, catch Jesse LaMonaca & the Dime Novels at U-31. LaMonaca has been super busy working and going back to school, so he's only had a few solo performances this year, and it will definitely be worth seeing the full band back in action, with whatever lineup that might be. Sean Hayes is at Belly Up and Blockhead is at Soda Bar to round out the night.
