Sounds Like San Diego: Oct. 8

NPR's Bob Boilen, the well-known curator and tastemaker, has given a number of our favorite artists the push they need for wider distribution -- not least of which are Jupiter & Okwess.

Can we talk for a minute about Bob Boilen? The NPR host is a well known curator and tastemaker in the world of music, and his Tiny Desk Concerts are often the jump and push that artists need to get wider distribution of their music. One such act is Jupiter & Okwess, who play at the Belly Up tonight. If you find that you have any love for African music, afro-beat or just something unlike anything you'd hear, particularly in a small club setting, you don't want to miss this show/
