Sounds Like San Diego: October 8

I know that it's only my job to let you know what shows are around town on a day-by-day basis, but if you haven't taken a look at this week's calendar, you definitely should, because there are multiple shows every night of the week that deserve your attention. On Monday, in addition to the regular Anti-Monday League show at the Casbah, which features Mono, but the Hard Rock is having its free Soundcheck show with Divine Fits, a group featuring Spoon's Britt Daniel, Dan Boeckner of Wolf Parade and Sam Brown of New Bomb Turks, and the Hives perform at House of Blues. I'm pretty excited about Peter Gabriel, who is performing at Valley View Casino Center. I've never had the chance to see him live, so this tour, which features an acoustic set, a small set with the band, then the performance of So in it's entirety, sounds like it is going to be pretty cool. Lots of great choices on Monday night. You can worry about Tuesday on Tuesday.
