Sounds Like San Diego: October 6

I'm going to be at the Casbah tonight because I missed the Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band at Warped Tour. I got caught up interviewing their Side One Dummy labelmates Fake Problems and didn't make it back in time. I suspect it's going to be quite a party -- this threesome features guitar, drums and washboard, with influences from all over the spectrum (country to blues to punk to metal) and the fans to match. I'd say wear your overalls and bring your own beer coozie to get in the right mood for this show.

Now all this isn't to say I wouldn't rather be at Van Morrison. I've never had the good fortune of seeing him perform, and there are so many classics that I love, declaring "Into the Mystic" my wedding song when I was still in high school (um, still waiting on a groom); however, when a friend looked into buying tickets online, well, let's just say there was no chance I would drop that kind of coin. For my more fortunate friends, enjoy the show. For the rest of us, see you at the Casbah or check out Primitive Noyes and Centerlight Pop for free at Bar Pink.
