The sophomore record from Brooklyn's Future Generations recently dropped and Blackbook Magazine described it as full of "quirky, jittery rhythms and thoughtfully existential lyrics." It makes me think of early Foster the People but it's probably cooler to say that you can hear influences from Talking Heads, which they do. Catch them tonight at Soda Bar. Around town, catch a local night with Warsaw, Systems Officer and Scary Pierre (featuring Lucy of Madly) at Casbah. Belly Up hosts a rock & roll revue featuring Los Straitjackets, and Mexican pop stars Timbiriche play at Viejas Arena.
