The weekend is finally here. and as if there weren't enough awesome shows this week, this weekend and next both pack them in quite well, too. The Casbah is sold out on Friday for the return of Crystal Fighters. Last time was an insane dance party, and I expect nothing less with this appearance. Over at Soda Bar, an all-local lineup entertains the night with the Material mixing it up. Tin Can and Whistle Stop, and the Belly Up all have pretty killer shows, too, but my ultimate pick for the night is Hunx & His Punx. The band wails and flails, and I'd suspect that with the amount of love this band gets from satellite radio and blog nation, this is where all the cool kids will be.
