I know a lot of people who drive people around for a living, whether in a cab, Uber, Lyft, or other service, and all of them swear one thing to be true: the Saturday before Halloween, even if Halloween is on a Saturday, is one of the busiest nights of the year. Everyone is festive, a lot of people are costumed, and all your somewhat regular and normal haunts are at risk of being packed. Typically, the music venues are exempt from this generalization, but you never know, so just plan accordingly. Tonight we revisit the '90s with Mudhoney rocking out at the Casbah, while Rock en Espanol is thriving at the Music Box with Elefante. The gorgeous sounds of Natalie Prass will fill the Soda Bar, and Gone Baby Gone get loose at Bar Pink. Today is also the day that Switchfoot's Jon Foreman is on a mission to play 25 shows in 24 hours (read the SoundDiego article here), so he'll be zipping around town but one such stop that is worth your while is his free appearance at Quartyard. Whatever you choose, you can be sure that you won't be alone on the town tonight.
