It had to be nearly a decade ago that a friend of mine introduced me to the tongue-in-cheek funky stylings of Har Mar Superstar, and I've been a fan ever since. From shows at the Beauty Bar to the Casbah, Har Mar always brings an exciting, entertaining and jaw-dropping show. His real name is Sean Tillman, which, if you're paying attention, means he's related to Josh Tillman (aka Father John Misty) and the Fleet Foxes family, which extends to other projects like Gayngs. He had a more serious indie band under the name Sean Na Na, and he's also explored his acting chops with small roles in movies like Whip It! and Pitch Perfect. It's always fun to see Sean, as he always brings stories of mayhem and hilarious catastrophes, and as Har Mar, he'll sweat out to his hip-hop and dance jams in his skivvies. Of course there are lots of choices on Thursday, but for me, there's only one.
