Cold, misty nights and hot, Santa Ana days -- fall is here with Ye Scallywag and Tei Shi

Tei Shi headlines Soda Bar on Saturday, Oct. 21.

It's fall, which generally means San Diego is back in the hands of San Diegans as the summer tourists have mostly left and we fluctuate between cold misty overnights and hot, Santa Ana days. I'm counting on sunshine so I can enjoy Waterfront Park with a few thousand other fans of retro skate-punk and craft beer. I'm especially excited about the Vandals, Lagwagon and our own local boys Western Settings, who are very deserving of the opportunity. There's also a beer and spirits festival in the South Bay and Art Walk in Coronado if you're out and about. By nightfall, head to Soda Bar for the very intriguing Tei Shi, or catch the jazzy Kaki King at Museum of Making Music. Musician, spoken word artist and Macklemore contributor Mary Lambert is at the Casbah, and Aussie singer/songwriter Nick Murphy, who has dropped his project name of Chet Faker, plays the Observatory.
