Sounds Like San Diego: October 16

There's never a dull night in San Diego, and tonight, there's something for everyone. From the indie rock of David Bazan to the mainstream pop of Maroon 5 to the yacht-rock stylings of Christopher Cross, plus all the fantastic local options, you might even want to attempt two or three shows tonight.

Bazan has found a way to sustain his career by doing small tour jaunts by himself, playing shows in living rooms offered up by fans, and then alternating those tours with full band tours where he can fully rock out. His lyrics are always poignant, and he's a pleasure to watch because he connects so well with all of his fans. Maroon 5 is very well known, but from what I'm hearing, Bruno Mars is the standout artist on this tour, so if you're heading to SDSU for the show, get there early for the openers.  I have a feeling I'll be traversing the city more than once tonight.
