Sounds Like San Diego: Oct. 15

Wayne Hancock has many names and titles, including the Train and the King of Juke Joint Swing, but now he creates whole new meaning for the term road warrior as he tours incessantly. He had to cancel his spring tour (including a stop in San Diego), though, after a serious motorcycle accident that put him in the ICU with a punctured lung. Apparently he has recovered, because you can catch him on Wednesday night at Soda Bar with some locals who toe the country/rockabilly/swing line. Meanwhile, Aaron West & the Roaring Hands appear at the Irenic, Mutual Benefit are at the Casbah after being named Best New Music by Pitchfork, and Tin Can hosts a Wednesday night Country Club with Anna Levitt.
