You're probably growing tired of me constantly talking about how many shows are happening in San Diego this week/month/season, but Wednesday night is pretty amazing. Music goddess Florence & the Machine perform at Viejas Arena. Avoid traffic by arriving early enough to catch Sean Lennon in his band, he Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger. Meanwhile, the fast crowd will be flocking to Brick by Brick for Joey Cape, and Twin Shadow returns to the Belly Up after having to cancel the tour tour earlier this year after a serious bus crash. If you like seeing bands on the rise long before they're playing Viejas Arena or Open Air Theatre, be sure to head to the Casbah for A Silent Film. A lot of bands come through the Casbah year after year, but I've seen few so polished as this band. In fact, the last time I thought this way about a band, the act was called Imagine Dragons, and we all know what happened to those guys. Continuing around town, Taurus Authority return to Bar Pink, while Bob Forrest of Thelonious Monster is at Whistle Stop, and William & the Nephews are at Soda Bar.
