Sounds Like San Diego: Oct. 1

The Donkeys close out Adams Avenue Street Fair while the Shins take on OAT

If you didn't make it to Adams Avenue (or even if you did), you'll definitely want to head there this afternoon as the Donkeys headline the Casbah stage. We all know the band keeps to only about four local shows a year and they always sell out, so take advantage of their free appearance today. Of course, if you're holding tickets for the Shins, Spoon and Day Wave, you might have to skip the Donkeys because it's an early show at Open Air Theatre. I couldn't be more excited about this lineup. For your out of the ordinary option for the night, head up to California Center for the Arts in Escondido for Simrit, described as, "... drawing on the harmonic beauty of the Greek Orthodox chants she grew up with, adding the pulse and melodic sensibilities of West African traditions she studied intensely ..."
