That's why when an act like Montreal's Yelle comes to the venue, you don't want to miss it. Meanwhile, the call is out for the long-hairs of San Diego as stoner rockers Red Wizard play Soda Bar. A super special shout-out goes to Miss Sue Palmer, the "Queen of Boogie Woogie," who celebrates her 70th birthday at 'Suesday' Night at Tio Leo's. Around town, Black Leather Couch plays a local night at the Merrow, young piano prodigy Janice Carissa plays the Chamber Series at La Jolla Athenaeum, and Long Beach producer and musician Lavender Fields brings her unique style of world music to Winston's.
