The Future Is Now With Deltron 3030

Deltron 3030 gets futuristic at the House of Blues

Over the last twenty plus years, I've been to the Che Cafe dozens of times, but sometimes it isn't enough. Some of my most memorable shows of all-time were there, like Shelter or Inside Out after Zack had already made it big with Rage Against The Machine. People still talk about the legendary Bon Iver show that happened there just a few short years ago. Well, this week Che Cafe is providing music for the college kids who can't head home for the holiday and tonight should be a pretty awesome show. I'm particularly excited because Big Bad Buffalo is performing. The local band which draws influence from the legends of the San Diego scene of the 90s (think Jehu, not Blink) features my friend and intern Jordan Krimston, who rocks harder than most and has been doing so since his days at School Of Rock. He's still in high school. His band is one of three opening for Seattle's Hibou (pronounced eee-booo) who are a bit fuzzy, drenched in vocal reverb, and with a nice sunniness that should keep you bobbing your head with your hands shoved in your pockets. All in all, a winner show for the night.
