Sounds Like San Diego: November 16

Belew the Surface

I'm not going to lie, I had to get educated on Adrian Belew Power Trio. Just so happens I'm dating a fan who gave me the whole lowdown on the guy. He's played with the likes of Talking Heads, King Crimson, and Frank Zappa and in those variations was selling out arenas in the 1980s. After some nudging by his peers, he began performing his own music, and this tour -- some 30 years later -- is pretty special for fans and is selling out in every city. Except we're slackers in San Diego, so there are still tickets available. Peeking over the set lists for other cities, this is sure to be a special -- perhaps once in a lifetime -- opportunity to see someone with such remarkable history up close.
