Sounds Like San Diego: November 11

It's a bit of an anomaly when we have so many great shows on a Sunday, but if you think about it, it really makes sense. Bigger touring bands route their tours to hit large markets like LA or San Francisco on a Friday or Saturday, so we're lucky when they swing south to be here on a Sunday. Such is the case for a few of Sunday's great picks, like Minus the Bear at the House of Blues or the Sea and Cake at the Casbah. I'm particularly excited to catch Those Darlins at Soda Bar. I haven't had the chance to see the band perform live, but I can tell you that recorded they sound great, and if you read other blogs and press, you'll only find great things written about them. Sundays are great in San Diego, so save some post-football energy to enjoy the gift of our music scene.
