Sounds Like San Diego: Nov. 3

Iceage chills out the Casbah, while Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors give Soda Bar a taste of Americana roots on Monday

Are you looking for a Monday night party or a chill show? Tonight two great shows go head to head: Iceage at the Casbah and Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors at Soda Bar. You probably won't find any similarities between the two -- one is frenetic punk from Denmark, the other has heavy Americana, roots and country vibes -- but I've seen both and loved both, and so you just have to pick which suits your mood and your Monday night fancy.

  • Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors, Penny & Sparrow @ Soda Bar
  • Iceage, Helm, Geyser House @ Casbah
  • The Tin Can Country Club @ Tin Can
  • The Husky Boy All-Stars @ Bar Pink
  • Mini-Concert @ Athenaeum (Free, Noon)
  • UglyHead, Cryptic Languages, Serial Hawk @ The Bancroft
