Sounds Like San Diego: May 29

This weekend, 91x plays host to their annual X-Fest lineup at Sleep Train Amphitheatre, but there's just as much reason to get excited about their pre-party tonight at the Hard Rock Hotel. The show features "paranoid electronic project" Big Data as well as Perth's Birds of Tokyo. Both acts burned up the indie and alt charts, and will certainly make for a great night of music. Meanwhile, Pink Mountaintops return to the Casbah, Soda Bar hosts some punk tribute acts, and Bar Pink features Philadelphia's Cheers Elephants, an indie psych-pop act that among other things, has claimed the "best indie haircuts" in Philadelphia for seven years running.
