The Che Cafe finds out today if it will live on

If you love music as much as I do, your head might be spinning, trying to figure out how you can see Damien Jurado and Band of Skulls in the same night. Band of Skulls have proven to be a favorite in this town over the past few years, and their material keeps getting better as their rock career grows. Meanwhile, Damien Jurado sheds the singer/songwriter pigeonhole with an album that is much more upbeat than other efforts. Still on indie record label Secretly Canadian, his career endures and tonight is sure to be spectacular. Meanwhile, if you have time this morning, there's a vote happening today at UCSD to determine funding and ultimately the fate of the Che Cafe [read our story here]. The iconic club has been host to thousands of underground artists, inspiring memories for all sorts of music lovers over the years. Speak up and urge the university to keep the Che Cafe alive.
