The illness of a parent or family member is one of the hardest things in this human experience we call life, so it's no surprise that when a member of a touring band experiences such a crisis, they naturally want to get off the road and be home with that loved one. Such is the case with Walk the Moon's Nick Petricca. His father is suffering from early-onset Alzheimer's, and the band has canceled the remainder of their summer tour as a result. The good news for us, at least, is that the band is honoring their rest of their May dates, including tonight's show at SDSU, where I'm sure you'll get an amazing yet emotional performance. Meanwhile, Moving Units bring the party to the Casbah, Hank Green leads the nerds to the Irenic, and Anti-Nowhere League release raw energy at Soda Bar.
