Sounds Like San Diego: May 10

It's a laid-back Tuesday in San Diego, and there are some solid choices to make the night match that mood. To start off, this year has seen the passing of many legends, including Merle Haggard, who passed in April. Some of San Diego's favorite roots, country and Americana musicians are "singin' him home" with a special performance at the Belly Up. For fans of experimental jazz, head out to the Merrow for Halloran's lineup, and, of course, the masked crusaders of the Fink Bombs return to Bar Pink for Tiki Tuesday. Acoustic soul singer Javier Colon is at the Music Box, and NYC producer Jai Wolf plays at the Stage Room, formerly known as Porter's Pub. The big show on Tuesday, however, is a double-header with Black Mountain and Young Empires at the Casbah. The lineup has flip-flopped a couple times, so get there early to make sure you catch both of these electrifying and mesmerizing Canadian rockers.
