Sounds Like San Diego: March 31

Old 97's kick off a wild weekend for live music in San Diego

The weekend is here, and hopefully you snagged your tickets to the Orwells or Old 97's, but in case you didn't, no need to fret because there's plenty of other fun stuff around town to kick off your weekend. At Whistle Stop, the Widows and the Kabbs bring a high-energy local night while the same can be said for Bosswitch at the Casbah. Creepoid Southern gothic country musician Lincoln Durham quite appropriately plays the Voodoo Room of the House of Blues, while Music Box will be nostalgic as Strangelove rocks the Depeche Mode jams of yesteryear. If you feel like getting out of the usual rounds, Sara Petite plays an early evening show at Humphreys Backstage Lounge.
