Sounds Like San Diego: March 29

Kolars wowed us at South By Southwest this year -- and now they're bringing the show to town

I know choice is supposed to be a good thing, but sometimes it can make everything a little harder, like choosing how to spend your Thursday night. At Soda Bar, catch Escondido and Kolars as they wind down a tour that's had them traverse the country and back. I'm especially fond of Kolars, featuring married couple Rob and tap-dancing percussionist Lauren (formerly of He's My Brother, She's My Sister). Meanwhile, the Casbah goes bluegrass with the Lil Smokies with Mapache, who you might recall from when they were here back in January with Suzanne Santos. The Merrow has a kick-ass show with the post-hardcore emo stylings of the Casket Lottery -- and don't miss homegrown (and SoundDiego band to watch) Miss New Buddha opening that one. Bar Pink has a show with Call of the Wild, alt-rock act Missio return to House of Blues, and Java Joe's has a who's who of local singer-songwriters to help you enjoy the warm spring night. If you're a music lover in San Diego, tonight is not the night to stay home.
