Sounds Like San Diego: March 28

Depeche Mode goes local at the Office Monday.

I have been writing this column for 363 days a year since 2010, and in that time I can only recall one time when I recommended a cover or tribute band. Call me biased, but I like to focus on original music. Monday night is an exception, however, because many of our favorite locals are getting together for another Under Cover at the Office. The various musicians get together, decide on about 25 songs, learn and rehearse them, with other locals taking turns fronting the music. Monday they pay tribute to Depeche Mode, and you better believe that pretty much everyone involved in the local music scene is going to be there. Arrive early and stay late and enjoy the amazing local talent paying tribute to legends.
