It doesn't seem like it was very long ago that I was writing about rock goddess Erika Wennerstrom and how Heartless Bastards were going to tear up the stage at the Belly Up, but it was actually almost a year ago. Around here, we love the Belly Up, but we tend to think the smaller the show, the better, so Monday should be a pretty great night at the Casbah. It's fitting, too, because the band has performed at the Middletown venue at least half a dozen times in the past, so it will be great to welcome them for their somewhat annual return. Around town, Hoodie Allen is at Porter's, the Woolen Men are at Soda and the Mavericks perform a sold-out show at the Belly Up.
