I have been counting on tonight for months. I rearranged work schedules and vacation schedules just to be able to be at Ra Ra Riot. I'm even going to miss Bernie for the show! But I love this indie rock band, formed so long ago at Syracuse. Their latest effort is upbeat, catchy and sometimes silly ("Bouncy Castle"), but for a Tuesday night, it's hard to beat a show like Ra Ra Riot at the Irenic, and even more so with And the Kids and Pwr Bttm opening. There are still other shows to jam out to, however, like Lawrence at the Casbah, Painted Zeros at Soda Bar and Underpass at The Hideout. In fact, post-South By, there are a ton of shows all over town in the middle of the week, so enjoy them while you can.
