Sounds Like San Diego: March 21

There are so many reasons to be stoked on Wednesday. First it's Humpday, so you're just a few days from the weekend, but more importantly there are some killer shows around town to enjoy. Allen Stone is already sold out at the Soda Bar, but Cults are returning home to play the Belly Up in what not only promises to be a great show, but should be a good chance to see a handful of San Diego's tastemakers all in one place. Personally, I'm going to opt for Lumineers at the Casbah. The Heavy Guilt opened for them at the Hotel Cafe last summer, and they are blowing up in the blogosphere. Lumineers' folky, harmony-driven sounds have also been touted by respected stations like KCRW and KEXP. That's not to say that you can't rock out though, and Tin Can, Bar Pink, and even the Whistle Stop offer great options on Wednesday night. Whatever you do, step away from the TV and relish in the amazing offerings coming through town this post-SXSW week.
