It wasn't too long ago that Maggie Rogers made a splash by drawing praise from Pharrell while performing at Master Class. It was no surprise, then, when her show at the Irenic sold out right away. If you didn't snag tickets, don't sulk at home. Instead, get to the Casbah for British recording artist Kate Tempest. Her brand of rap definitely holds on to her British flair, and it's obvious that she is a poet and writer, too, with her politically conscious lyrics speaking to life in these times. This is her first U.S. tour, and after an amazing performance on The Tonight Show, you can be sure that her next time through will be a much larger space than the Casbah, so don't miss your chance tonight.
