Sounds Like San Diego: March 11

Dig deep on Wednesday with A Place to Bury Strangers and Hurry for the Riff Raff

The week just keeps heating up, and Wednesday's local music scene is on fire with some great shows. The Casbah hosts A Place to Bury Strangers, whose live shows have become the stuff of legend. Expect dark lighting and fog machines, and bring some earplugs for the scorching aural assault. Up at Soda Bar, Detroit rockers Electric Six make their way back to town for a show that is nearly sold out (so get your tickets online if you still can). Meanwhile, the Belly Up welcomes Hurray for the Riff Raff, the bluesy and soulful sound fronted by Alynda Lee Segarra. Bar Pink once again has Taurus Authority, while Boondock Brothers play down the street at U-31, and Hills Like Elephants and Soft Lions are at Til-Two Club, trying to make a little scratch before hitting SxSW.
