The Internet is abuzz with talk about Empires. The Chicago alt-rock band is being compared to the National and Interpol for vocalist Sean Van Vleet's deep register (we agree -- check out our profile on the band here). You can expect big things from this band who sound tailor-made for your favorite alt radio station. Of course, Soda Bar is a small room, so should this show sell out, there's an awesome show with Theophilus London at Belly Up and Gayle Skidmore's cassette release show at the Casbah.
