Brownout Scheduled for the Casbah

Brown Sabbath, a psych-funk take on Black Sabbath, powers down the Casbah

There are plenty of reasons to get out this Sunday night. For the tweens and teens, Max performs an all-ages show at the Irenic. Also known as actor Max Schneider, Max brings class and stands above a saturated pop market. Meanwhile singer-songwriter duo Ryanhood returns to San Diego after a hiatus from music with a performance at Lestat's. The most off-the-radar show tonight just might be Brown Sabbath at the Casbah. Performed by Austin psych-funksters Brownout, they're getting rave reviews for their twist on Black Sabbath -- thus Brown Sabbath. Be adventurous this Sunday. You just might find your next favorite artist.
